OLTRE LA CLASSE A
OLTRE la Classe A presents a smart building in full-scale, where the excellences in solutions and systems selected from Percorso Efficienza & Innovazione will find their ideal location. The new look of Oltre la Classe A will also feature specific events of communication conducted by experts from the Politecnico di Milano who will explain visitors how an intelligent building works, as a real machine for living in it. The purpose and objective of this new initiative is to offer, in the best tradition of MCE, a unique opportunity to see in real time the evolution of technology and the future to come.
THAT’S SMART
“THAT’S SMART” the congress and exhibition area located in Hall 2, running alongside MCE – MOSTRA CONVEGNO EXPOCOMFORT, will concretely express the correlation between Smart Buildings scoring nearly zero or zero net energy use, able to integrate appropriate building envelope efficient solutions, and the excellence of Smart Grid and Smart City plant technologies. A larger exhibition space where 50 companies will offer all professionals involved in the design and installation, innovative and sustainable solutions representing today and tomorrow’s building. THAT’S SMART will also offer a rich programme of workshops focused on the current hot topics creating opportunities for technical and educational exchange and discussion during the 4-day exhibition.
LABGRADE
MCE 2016 launches LABGRADE sustainable competition, a competition open to master’s students with level 2, the first of its kind in Italy and entirely in English because of its international character. LABGRADE sustainable competition is a real competition among the top 50 post-graduate students of construction, design and urban planning coming from the best international universities in the following countries: Columbia, France, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Sweden, U.K., US. The participants will be sustained in their work by qualified tutors, representatives of the academic and research world as well as professionals from selected companies. The theme of the competition is sustainability applied to the built environment in line with the connecting thread running through MCE 2016. The main objective is to face the inter-disciplinary complexity of sustainability. Working sessions will be held in Hall 4, with limited numbers: 72 hours International competition, from Tuesday, 15, to Thursday, 17, March 2016. A conference will take place on Friday, 18 March 2016 with special guests, lecturers and subject experts (course credits). The event will also be attended by engineers, architects, surveyors and qualified professionals (course credits). At the end of the competition an international jury will award the best project and report the most effective proposals. LABGRADE sustainable competition will be held under the auspices of UNESCO – UE/COMMISSIONE EUROPEA – ADI - AiCARR – ANCE –ANGAISA – FEDERCOSTRUZIONI - FONDAZIONE SORELLA NATURA – GREEN GLOBE BANKING AWARD – MCE - PASSIVHAUS.
CasANGAISA
CasANGAISA set up by ANGAISA (Italian Dealer Association for Plumbing and Sanitary Equipment, HVAC, Flooring, Tiles and Bathroom Fixtures and Fittings) a special event held in a dedicated area located in hall 2. A reference point for the distributions arms showcasing advanced solutions aimed to logistics and warehousing industry as well as educational and cultural initiatives.
WORKSHOPS
Once again, MCE 2014 will put some meeting rooms in halls 1, 2, 5, and 24 at exhibitors’ disposal, enabling them to conduct their presentation workshops focused on products or initiatives and taking place in the brand new Business & Conference Area. A short time to exchange ideas and get professional training.
SALDAMENTE
A format inside MCE 2016, located in hall 9, and set up in collaboration with Castolin together with authoritative partners – dedicated to theory and practical training on welding and brazing processes. Lectures should last an hour and each participant will be provided with tools, consumable materials and protection equipment during tests.
MCE AGAINST COUNTERFEITING
MCE has been the first trade show in Italy, to promote in partnership with ANIMA, the setting up of: ANIMA – MCE – MOSTRA CONVEGNO EXPOCOMFORT Industrial and Intellectual Property Committee. A unique and innovative tool enabling rapid intervention during the exhibition to remove the counterfeit item from the stand with due regard to requests from exhibitors, avoiding the need for recourse to the long-winded bureaucratic course of Italian course.
JUST A DROP
For several years now, MCE – MOSTRA CONVEGNO EXPOCOMFORT has been donating a portion of the sales proceeds from Exhibitors invites for clients to one of the official charities of RELX Group, “Just a Drop”. Since 1998, the international water charity has delivered 179 projects across 31 countries, servicing an estimated 1.3 million children and their families with access to safe drinking water and sanitation facilities. MCE – MOSTRA CONVEGNO EXPOCOMFORT 2016 will be on the front line again supporting a new project “St Akileo Primary School, Uganda Water and Sanitation Project” whose aim is to provide clean and safe water to pupils of the school located in a rural area, north-west of Kampala. The school can share a water tank that was constructed in the adjacent catholic church by Just a Drop, but is currently proving to be insufficient to meet the needs of the school – for drinking, cooking and washing.
