London, UK: The Food Storage and Distribution Federation will chair a Business Insights Panel at the HVACR show at ExCel Centre in London, discussing Brexit and its impact on temperature-controlled logistics.

Formerly known as the ACR Show, the HVAC & Refrigeration Show is a three-day exhibition for the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, heating and heat pump sectors, running from 23 to 25 January 2018.

This year sees the launch of a new sector – Refrigerated and Chilled Food Transportation. The federation, along with Montracon and Marshalls Fleet Solutions, will exhibit the latest refrigeration technology.

HVAC & Refrigeration Show includes live debates on key issues as well as a three-day seminar programme with speakers invited from UK and European Associations. As part of the programme, Chris Sturman, chief executive, Food Storage and Distribution Federation, will chair the Brexit discussions along with a panel of experts from across the food supply chain.

Sturman said: “We’re delighted to be chairing a Business Insights panel discussion around the latest Brexit news at this year’s HVAC & Refrigeration show. We (the FSDF) have already been working alongside other associations and business to engage with Government and help shape the future customs arrangements for the UK post Brexit, and understand the frustration felt by businesses due to the many unanswered questions. The HVAC and Refrigeration sector has so much to discuss regarding the potential changes to legislation that I’m predicting it will get quite lively”

“We are extremely pleased to also be attend the show this January and, with the launch of the refrigerated and chilled food transportation zone, we are sure to meet great people from the industry. We look forward to attending with a number of our Federation members from Marshall Fleet Solutions and Montracon,” Sturman said.
