John Smith becomes FETA chairman

UK: Beijer Ref’s John Smith has taken over from Daikin UK’s Graham Wright as chairman of the Federation of Environmental Trade Associations (FETA).

John Smith is technical director for the Beijer Ref UK & Ireland group, is currently president of the British Refrigeration Association (BRA) and also chairs the BRA’s Equipment & Components section. He has spent the last 29 years working predominantly in wholesaling for Dean & Wood and for electronic controls manufacturers such as Danfoss, JTL and Honeywell.

The new BRA vice president is Mark Woods, joint managing director of Space Engineering Services.

Graham Wright also handed over his role as HEVAC president to Nick Howlett, MD of Titon Ventilation Systems. The new HEVAC vice president is Mark Jones, chairman of industrial fan company Woodcock & Wilson Ltd.
