Emerson Climate Technologies has officially opened its new €8m Europe Solution Center in Aachen.
The Europe Solution Center is said to be part of Emerson’s long-term strategy of developing integrated solutions to address the challenges facing Europe’s heating, cooling and refrigeration industry.
The opening ceremony last Tuesday was officiated by David N Farr, chairman and CEO of Emerson, Jean Janssen, president of Emerson Climate Technologies Europe and Marcel Philipp, Mayor of Aachen.
The new facility features a laboratory where engineers can work directly with customers to develop and test integrated solutions and advanced services. The state-of-the-art laboratory employs Emerson’s innovative compressor technology and electronic controls for residential and commercial heating and cooling systems and refrigeration systems, such as those used in supermarkets. The new facility also includes meeting and office spaces where Emerson plans to hold training sessions and workshops for its employees and its customers.
Describing the new Center as the latest milestone on the company’s journey to support its customers in Europe, David N Farr said: “It is important for us to be positioned to help our European customers grow and prosper.”
The new Center will support the company’s presence in Europe where it currently operates five factories and four engineering centres.
“Our goal is to take our commitment to technology, innovation and customer service in Europe to the next level, and create an environment where creativity and open-mindedness are encouraged,” said Jean Janssen. “We want to design and deliver solutions in cooperation with our customers to master the HVACR industry´s challenges of today and tomorrow.” Those challenges are identified as including energy efficiency, sustainability and improved system connectivity.
