The ACR Show is delighted to announce the support of the British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF) for the 2016 event, which will see a number of new end users from the food sector attending, many for the first time. The association has over 300 members comprising producers, wholesalers, importers, exporters, brokers, retailers and related associate businesses covering the entire cold chain from large companies to SMEs.

Chief executive Brian Young said: “We are delighted to be taking a stand at the show as well as delivering a seminar. The ACR Show has a lot of synergy with our members, so this will be of great interest to them.”

The Association of European Refrigeration Component Manufacturers (ASERCOM) and the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) have also pledged their support for the The ACR Show 2016.

ASERCOM is the platform for addressing scientific and technical challenges, promoting standards for performance and safety, encouraging better environment protection, and serving the refrigeration and air conditioning industry and its customers. Its president, Claude Blanc said: “We are delighted to announce our support of the ACR Show 2016. At ASERCOM we believe that it is vital to have events such as the ACR Show. These platforms give all members of our industry the opportunity to spread their ideas and the chance to inspire each other.”

The European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) represents the majority of the European heat pump industry. Its members comprise of heat pump and component manufacturers, research institutes, universities, testing labs and energy agencies. A spokesperson for the EHPA said: “Heat pumps are the most efficient renewable technologies for heating and cooling in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors. Yet, they lack support to deploy faster in markets that strongly subsidise fossil fuels. We wish the ACR show great success in putting the spotlight on heat-pump solutions for the energy transition!”

The Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) has confirmed plans to host its 2016 Conference at the Show, full details of which are expected to be announced in October.

The ACR Show’s decision to include the heat pump, heating and ventilation sectors has also won the backing of the Building & Engineering Services Association (B&ES), the Federation of Environmental Trade Associations (FETA) and REFCOM.

Leading names support the show

In major news for the industry, Fujitsu is to exhibit at The ACR Show 2016. Ian Carroll, sales and marketing manager, said: “We are very selective about which trade shows we go to, but The ACR Show is one that we are happy to support, especially when we have something to say, and this year we will have plenty to say.

“We are still finalising our plans for the stand, but it will focus on our existing comprehensive portfolio of air conditioning units and controls, and the introduction of some exciting new products.”

Airflow, a major name in the ventilation sector has also signed up to support the event. The Airflow Developments group of companies was founded in 1955 from one man’s expertise in the fields of fan design and air flow measurement. Initially based in one factory in High Wycombe, the company has since developed into a thriving international group, with subsidiaries in Germany and the Czech Republic, supported by a world-wide sales distribution network.

DCI Refrigeration is returning to The ACR Show in 2016. Commenting on the wide ranging benefits of exhibiting at the UK’s only dedicated event for the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, heating and heat pump sectors, a spokesperson for DCI Refrigeration said: “The ACR Show is a great vehicle to help us grow our presence in the marketplace. With our broad range of products and services, it is extremely valuable to communicate directly with potential and existing customers and the show environment gives us the ideal opportunity not only to meet the right people within the industry, but also to be able to explain, face-to-face, exactly what we can do to help their businesses.”

Business Edge is another firm supporter. A spokesperson for the company said: “Our strong support of the ACR Show over many years has rewarded us with the opportunity of introducing our unique services and product technologies to the market. The ACR Show facilitates a meeting of great industry minds, enabling us to learn and keep abreast of new developments and trends including the needs of our customers. We then react by gearing our products and technologies to market needs.”

Lordan UK, a heat exchanger design and manufacturing company is also to exhibit again. Managing director Stuart Lancaster said: “Our products are used for refrigeration, air conditioning, heat pumps, evaporators, condensers, etc.” Asked why the company is exhibiting at The ACR Show again, Stuart said “it’s because we always meet a good range of high quality new and existing customers.”
