IRIS Damper Introduction：

The iris damper is widely used for measuring and adjusting the air flow. It with sealed ends, Calibrated adjusting handle and manometer testing points. It has advantages of quick, silent, efficient, centrally- formed air flow and fixed test points for precise measurements. Iris damper has an adjustment aperture which can be fully opened. This device also can be used for exhaust air. Available in sizes ø 80 - 400 mm.                                                            

 The IRIS is composed of regulation plates, regulating handle and regulation scale plus manometer connections and casing. The casing and regulation plates are made of hot-galvanized steel (standard IRIS) , other components of plastic. The joining collars are supplied with rubber sealing gasket.

Design & Material:

The damper is manufactured from galvanized steel sheet and is fitted with a rubber seal tested for air tightness. Permitted ambient temperature is 70 °C

Damper Mounting:

The iris damper must be installed in accordance with the distances required to minimize air flow deviation. Reducing or enlarging to the duct to the next duct size does not require any specified distances for minimizing deviation. IRIS enables the taking of precise air flow measurements at all points including points close to duct deviations such as T junctions and bends and points in front of other supply air devices.
