Accumulator is used in inlet of the compressor in refrigeration piping system, to separate vapor and liquid and prevent compressor from liquid striking. And bring back a part of refrigerant oil to lubricate the compressor operation.

Large volume accumulator is installed with fusible plug, which can relieve pressure at the scene of fire disaster promptly.
