Poly isocynerate (PIR), Polyurethane (PUR), and Phenolic panels belong to similar families; all are different in fire rating. All these foams are manufactured from organic polymers; formed by reacting a polyol (an alcohol with more than two reactive hydroxyl groups per molecule) with a diisocyanate or a polymeric isocyanate in the presence of suitable catalysts and additives. PUR, PIR and Phenolic foams can be used as insulation for buildings and technical applications like heat exchangers cooling pipes in the process plants, as duct insulation in HVAC industries, core material for sandwich insulation panels.
PIR / PUR Pipe Insulation
PIR, PUR & Phenolic pipe sections are widely used by Electro mechanical contactors (MEP) for the District cooling systems, HVAC and chemical processing industries. PU pre-insulated pipes are widely used for gas transmission.
Polyurethane (PUR) Rigid Insulation
Polyurethane rigid panels (PUR) is the end product of chemical reaction, involving the polymerization of ISOCYNUARATES and Polyols, in Polyurethane the higher the density the better durability.
Polyurethane (PUR) foam flexible:
Flexible PUR foam is similar as rigid PUR, however, flexible foam has less compressive properties with more cushion effect. More than the insulation, it is used for upholstery works such as sofa, car seat cushioning, furniture/joinery industries and other packing applications. It is also used as an insulation material to insulate the intricate shapes as it is flexible, has good thermal resistant properties.
Polyisocyanurate (PIR) Rigid Insulation
Rigid closed cell foam manufactured in similar way to standard Polyurethane, POLYISOCYANURATE has all the characteristics and advantages of rigid Polyurethane foam but offers greatly increased resistance to burning and spread of flame and is able to withstand temperatures up to 140° degrees Celsius.
POLYISOCYANURATE RIGID CLOSED CELL FOAM, with a low Thermal Conductivity of 0.023 W/m K at 10° degrees Celsius gives excellent thermal properties and excellent fire properties tested in accordance with ASTM E 84, and BS 476 Part 7, Class 1 rating. POLYISOCYANURATE RIGID INSULATION is 95% closed cell and provides a long end satisfactory service life.
Polisocyanurate : Insulation is available as sectional pipe covering, complete with a vapor barrier jacket, as well as sections for fittings; and board and segments for equipment and large vessels. PIPE SECTION with reinforced Aluminum Class ‘1’ foil faced. PIPE SECTION with aluminum Class ‘O’ foil faced Or Alu. glass foil faced (Aluminized glass Cloth) Alu. glass Finished Insulation is easy to fit and installation cost can be saved because applying canvas cloth and vapor barrier will not be required. PIPE Saddle Support Inserts or DUCT Saddle Support Inserts faced with reinforced Aluminum foil, Alu. glass foil or Un-faced.
DUCT BOARD : faced with one side reinforced Aluminum foil and other side Kraft Paper or Alu. glass foil finished.
Phenolic Foam
Phenolic foam belongs to the same family of PUR & PIR however it has the highest fire rating properties & the Lowest K Value (K Value = 0.018W/mk) in relation with PUR , PIR .
Available Products range:
PUR, PIR (POLYISOCYANURATE RIGID INSULATION) has many diverse applications in Air-Conditioning Systems, Oil, Petrochemical, Process Plant and General Insulation Industries. It can be used for Pipe, Duct, Tank and Vessel Insulation.
