Copeland developed the ZF range to provide the best performance in low temperature. The range has a wide application envelope as it can operate from -40°C evaporating temperature to +7°C. They have been optimized in their design to perfectly fit frozen food application requirements. Thanks to their scroll compliance mechanism, these scroll compressors feature particularly high tolerance to liquid slugging.
The ZF and ZFI series compressors can be operated at condensing temperatures as low as 4.4°C, providing high seasonal energy efficiency.
The compressor is equipped with a dynamic venting valve to adjust the compressor discharge pressure according to the requirements and to prevent recompression of the compressor gas, which results in a considerable increase in energy efficiency at high pressure ratios.
The Enhanced Enthalpy Injection (EEI) technology gives the ZFI compressor a higher efficiency than a single-stage compressor at low temperatures, providing excellent performance.
