Application 1: GB 2760-96 stipulates that the permitted use of food processing aids is limited to GMP.

Esters of triethanolamine and higher fatty acids are widely used as detergents, emulsifiers, humectants and lubricants, and also in the formulation of cosmetic balms. Triethanolamine is also used as preservatives and water repellents, analytical reagents and solvents, etc. As an activator in the polymerization of nitrile rubber, it can also be used as an emulsifier and stabilizer for oils and waxes under acidic conditions, and as a softener for textiles. It is one of the components of synthetic fiber spinning oil such as nylon.
