Description:
Psychrometric Testing Room is a test facility for air conditioner performance; it can measure the airflow, capacity, power consumption and then evaluate Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER), coefficient of performance (COP), Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) and Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF). It is suitable for use in the quality control, inspection and research & development of unitary air conditioners and heat pumps.
Basically, indoor air enthalpy method, which comply with ASHRAE Standard 37 or ISO 5151, is used for capacity measurement, by measuring the air enthalpies at inlet and outlet and the air flow through the unit indoor unit. Air enthalpy properties are achieved dry bulb and web bulb temperature measurement, Airflow measurements are provided by nozzle type code Testers (Air flow Tunnels).
According to customer’s requirement, outdoor air enthalpy method and refrigerant enthalpy method can also be applied as option solution.
Energy label evaluation functions provide SEER and HSPF calculation according GB7725, AHRI 210/420 standard or EN 14825.
Two rooms, end to end configuration, where dry bulb temperature andhumidity are independently controlled, simulate the air temperature and humidity condition as normally used according to standard requirements.
Air handling units are provided for both the Indoor and the Outdoor Rooms. The AHUs will include full heating, cooling, dehumidification and humidification capabilities so that heat pump and air conditioner testing can be accomplished without having to reverse the UUT direction in the common partition wall between the test rooms.
A frequency variable voltage transformer is supplied to control the voltage to the UUT.
A control panel provides all required operator interface. Instrumentation devices such as PID controllers, HMI, Date loggers and power meters are located on the panel. A master PC provides remote data logging and control for the whole facility.
Electrical power panel separately locates in machinery room, controlling all equipment according to signal from control panel.
The test application software, which developed by NI’s LabVIEW, runs over Microsoft WINDOWS system, control devices and meters to work, read the sampling value, and then implements the tasks of calculating, processing, analysis, displaying, data storage and report printing.
