Applicalion:

1.Applicalion of silica fumes in concrete.

a.  Concrete spraying engineering；After silica fume is added to concrete,it significantly improves the plastic adhesion properties and cohesion of concrete,greatly reduces the rebound,increases the once-forming thickness of spraying concrete,shortens the construction period and saves engineering cost. 

b. Highway construction;

c.To improve the workability of concrete or mortar mixture in construction:

In large-scale projects, grouting material mixed with silica fume has the following characteristics: water retention, preventing the segregation and bleeding, greatly reducing the conveying resistance of concrete pump, greatly improving the compression resistance, impermeability, anti-corrosion, impact resistance and abrasion of projects.

2.Silica fume has been widely used in refractory castables and refractory products as refractory materials.

Its importance in the unshaped refractory materials is shown as below:

It can be filled in the numerous gaps of refractory materials, decreasing porosity and achieving closely packing, so as to improve the product density and strength. Silica fume has very strong activity and is able to form colloidal particles in water. After appropriate amount of dispersant is added, it can enhance the liquidity, thereby improving the casting performance. Silica fume is helpful for the great improvement of thermostability of refractory materials and can prolong the service life of the refractory materials.
