Daikin Industries, Ltd. has issued the "Sustainability Report 2023". This report summarizes the Group's ESG information, including our approach to contributing to the realization of a sustainable society through our business, our activity results for fiscal 2022, and future plans.
In recent years, the world has been accelerating the movement toward decarbonization. We see this social change as an opportunity, and based on our Environmental Vision 2050, which aims to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, we have set "Challenge to carbon neutrality" as one of the key strategic themes of our strategic management plan "FUSION 25" up to fiscal 2025, and are promoting initiatives.
In the latter three-year plan of "FUSION 25," we have launched new measures in addition to the existing measures, such as "realizing zero CO2 emissions at our air conditioning business bases by 2030" and "promoting the use of heat pumps in the European heating market." We will further focus on businesses that contribute to the realization of carbon neutrality, and aim to achieve both the growth of the group and the contribution to a sustainable society.
