Panasonic has been shortlisted as a finalist for SIX entries in the highly anticipated National ACR & Heat Pump awards 2023.

Making the shortlist in two product categories is Panasonic’s new air-e in-ceiling nanoe X Generator for Ancillary Product of the Year, and the CR Series CO₂ Medium and Low-Temperature Commercial Refrigeration units in the Refrigeration product category. In the project categories, Panasonic solutions were also shortlisted for two air conditioning projects and two heat pump installations. Winners will be announced on 22nd June at a black-tie celebration in Manchester.

Jose Alves, UK Country Manager for Panasonic commented, “We are thrilled to not only be finalists but shortlisted six times across varying categories in these Awards. It is great to see that our hard work, innovation, and energy-efficient solutions throughout our product range are being recognised. This confirms our dedication to helping create a low carbon future. We are very much looking forward to the event and continue to strive towards a more sustainable future.”

With a great focus on environmental impact, Panasonic’s highlighted products also deliver energy efficiency: the air-e performance measured over a 24hr period with an energy monitor showed a consumption of only 0.095kWH. Meanwhile the CR series has a seasonal energy performance ratio (SEPR) cooling value of 3.83 and a SEPR freezing value of 1.92. Additional features include its efficient design, as well as the use of CO2 natural refrigerant, which has a ODP of 0 and GWP of 1.

Panasonic is also being recognised for its contribution to several projects all taking steps towards more energy-efficient heating and cooling. In the Air Conditioning project category, the two shortlisted installations showcase collaboration at work. Firstly, Panasonic, Grayer Services and South Lodge Hotel worked together to bring the energy-efficient PACi 5kW condensing units with adapted ducted units with nanoeTM X to the luxury 5-star South Lodge hotel. Secondly with SFE Services, Gloucester City Council’s new office now benefits from the Panasonic Mini ECOi 10HP system with ceiling cassettes and TZ wall-mounted units (all with nanoe X technology).

In the Domestic Air-Source Heat Pump Project category, Panasonic has been shortlisted for bringing its Aquarea Mono-bloc range to a Palace Green Homes 54-home development, providing heating and hot water.

In the Non-domestic air-source project category, Panasonic is working with Finn Geotherm to mark a European first and incredible achievement: the UK-first installation of Panasonic U210kW air source heat pumps at the Paragon House, University of West London (UWL) has seen improved energy usage and a reduced carbon footprint for the university.
