New plug in cabinets following new Ecodesign Directive and Energy Labelling Regulation will lower the CO2 footprint
- New plug-in cabinets meet new Ecodesign and Energy Labelling Directives of the EU
- All plug-in cabinets are available with natural refrigerant R290
- Wide selection of cabinets include range of high multideck and semi-vertical cabinets to chiller and freezer islands
All new Tecto plug-in products from Viessmann Refrigeration Solutions comply with the Directives, EN2019/2024 and EN2019/2018, that have come into effect from 1st of March 2021.
The target of the Ecodesign Directive is to guide manufacturers to start designing products with reduced energy consumption and that way also reduce the negative environmental impacts of these products all through their life-cycle. 'Ecodesign' means that there will be a greater focus on lifetime energy use and other environmental aspects during the design phase before products are manufactured and brought to market.
The Energy Labelling Regulation requires an energy label to be attached to the product, which helps end users to select energy efficient products more easily. Energy labelling requirements apply from March 1st, 2021 onwards on newly produced equipment. They provide clear and easy-to-understand information on the product energy efficiency, and classifies products from A to G according to their level of efficiency. The label has to be attached to every product.
