On 23-25 October, The 4th China International Air Conditioning, Heating, Ventilation, Refrigeration and Cold Chain Expo will be held at the Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center in Zhejiang province. With government representatives, well-known experts/scholars, manufacturers, constructors and material suppliers from over 100 countries and regions and more than a thousand overseas buyers, discussing the new situation of the trade of HVACR and communicating to win new business opportunities.

Among the attendees, there are 100 buyers from more than 60 enterprises in India, marking a 60% growth than RACC 2023. The business opportunities between China and India, as well as the international HVACR trade, continue to strengthen. Since the launch of the 'Make in India' initiative in 2014, India has been strengthening its domestic manufacturing sector through a series of policies and strategies. At the same time, it has attracted numerous well-known HVAC brands, including Daikin, Carrier, Samsung, LG, Johnson Controls, Panasonic, Gree, Midea, and Haier, to invest and establish factories in India.

India is regarded as the fastest-growing air conditioning market in the world. In 2023 alone, the Indian market consumed 12 million air conditioners, accounting for nearly 8% of global demand, with expectations to reach 10% in the next two years, crossing the $5 billion and $10 billion thresholds successively. According to Daikin India's CEO, Kanwal Jeet Jawa, approximately 93% of people in India still do not have air conditioners.

Furthermore, predictions from www.statista.com indicate that by 2028, the sales volume of air conditioners in India is expected to reach 20.8 million units. There is a huge and urgent demand in the Indian air conditioning market, with broad prospects for growth.

However, despite the 'cold politics and hot economics' between China and India, while India has become a popular 'manufacturing hedge base,' its dependence on China has gradually deepened. Over the past decade, China has continued to dominate the Indian market. According to data released by the Indian economic think tank, Global Trade Research Initiative (GTRI), in early May 2024, China once again surpassed the United States to become India's largest trading partner for the 2023-2024 fiscal year. The total bilateral trade between India and China reached $118.4 billion, with India's imports increasing by 3.24%, reaching $101.8 billion. Statistics show that the growth rate of India's imports from China is twice that of its overall import growth, currently accounting for nearly one-third of India's total imports.

Although there are still many uncertainties in India’s current visa policies, and numerous restrictions remain on visas for Chinese nationals, which not only affect the flow of trade personnel between the two countries but also limit economic cooperation and cultural exchange to a certain extent, the fact that more than 100 Indian buyers are attending the RACC 2024 exhibition in person with their latest market procurement needs demonstrates the strong demand of the Indian HVACR market for Chinese technology and expertise. On the other hand, this will further promote cooperation and business negotiations between companies in the HVAC field in both countries, presenting limitless opportunities.

Additionally, as an important partner of the ACREX and its exclusive agent for China, despite the ongoing impact of visa issues between China and India, more than 30 Chinese companies still participate in the exhibition each year with satisfactory results. We also welcome more new and old friends to register for the 2025 ACREX India International Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Exhibition and join the RACC committee in expanding into international markets.
