BITZER, specialist for refrigeration and air-conditioning technology, is satisfied with this year’s Chillventa. At the international exhibition for refrigeration, heat pumps and ventilation, the company presented its product and service highlights at two stands.
In line with the motto ‘Your Green World’, BITZER showcased its most important refrigeration and air-conditioning innovations in Nuremberg between 16 and 18 October, all the while focusing on the topics of alternative refrigerants, energy efficiency, services and intelligent solutions.
For BITZER, the trade fair is the most important industry event in Europe. According to information provided by the organiser, Chillventa 2018 set a new record both in visitor and exhibitor numbers on the three days of the event. BITZER is also very satisfied with how the trade fair went: ‘Our exhibits and stand highlights such as the digital journey met with a great deal of interest. We’d also brought along a world premiere and prototype in the form of the EXPANDER unit, which turned plenty of heads. Our second trade fair stand, dedicated to BITZER heat exchangers and pressure vessels, was also a hit,’ says Patrick Koops, Head of Public Relations at BITZER. The company was represented by two stands this year for the first time; the main stand was one of the largest at the fair – as in previous years.
With the EXPANDER unit, BITZER has developed a component which makes CO2 refrigeration systems over 20 per cent more energy-efficient: at an ambient temperature of 32°C, the subcooling unit increases the cooling capacity of a standard booster system at the design point by more than 20 per cent. Take for example a compound system: from a seasonal point of view, energy savings of up to 17 per cent are therefore possible in warm climates. The ALDI SÜD discount supermarket is already testing the first units in its stores.
Additional highlights at the BITZER stands included the publication of the new, updated refrigerant report, the digital journey to the company’s intelligent products and service topics, and the section of the stand dedicated to the SCHAUFLER Academy, the BITZER international training centre, with its many presentations.
