Kings Lynn contractor gets ranking in London Stock Exchange’s ’1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ report

JD Cooling Group has been named one of the London Stock Exchange’s 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain.

Companies are included in the list if they have shown consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years and have significantly outperformed their peers. The list is described as a celebration of the most dynamic SMEs in the country.

The Kings Lynn contractor now employs over 100 people throughout the UK.

Managing director John Dye said: “It’s an honour for JD Cooling Group to be named as one of the UK’s most inspiring companies and it’s really a testament to the passion and dedication of our talented team we have working for us. The last couple of years have been fantastic for the company with the pleasure of two national industry awards, the opening of two new regional offices in the South East and South West, as well as the launch of JDI Controls.”

He said: “Without the team, JD Cooling Group wouldn’t be where it is now. This accolade demonstrates how a local business can develop from small beginnings organically and successfully in a matter of a few years by growing our own workforce through to the investment of trainees, apprentices and local people. We are excited what this accolade will do for the business and we look forward to continuing our journey for many more years to come.”

Nikhil Rathi, CEO of London Stock Exchange said, “Five years on, the report continues to demonstrate the strength and diversity of British businesses across the country. These dynamic companies are the backbone of our economy, playing an important role in the UK’s ability to innovate, export and grow. This report is a significant part of London Stock Exchange Group’s broader campaign to support UK high growth companies. We are committed to championing British businesses and Britain’s dynamic entrepreneurial spirit.”

The company has recently announced a new regional office in the South East,  along with the appointment of produce storage technology specialists James Tumber and Tudor Petcu, who the firm says will bring knowledge and experience in ripening room technologies, cold storage and controlled atmosphere rooms. The latter appointment follows collaboration between JD Cooling and Mr Petcu’s former business Tudor Multi Services on a number of projects.

JD said it was a natural move to join forces to deliver a stronger and comprehensive service package to clients within the South East - with the backup of a countrywide engineering network and vast technical resources.

The move follows the launch of JDI Control Systems in early 2018, which the firm says now operates independently to support third party clients, not necessary directly linked with the industrial refrigeration market, working out of a new regional office in Bristol.
