World Green Building Week, the annual event that empowers the green building community to deliver green buildings for everyone, everywhere, is fast approaching (September 25th to 1st October)!

WorldGBC is today delighted to launch the resources under this year’s theme #OurHeroIsZero, which focuses on net zero buildings. The resources will help Green Building Councils, their members, and Partners prepare for the week.

The theme is in line with our Advancing Net Zero project and follows the launch last week of our reportFrom Thousand to Billions, which highlights the need for all buildings to be net zero by 2050.

Buildings are often seen as the villains when it comes to climate change, but they can actually be the heroes. When buildings are net zero they use clean energy, are highly efficient and don’t waste energy - helping us to win the fight against climate change.

This World Green Building Week we’re encouraging people everywhere to see the faces of the heroes in the buildings where they live and work, and to join us in the mission to make all buildings net zero. In this fight,#OurHeroIsZero.

Resources launched today include social media visuals, web banners, posters, a World Green Building Week logo, email signature and PowerPoint template. A “How to get involved” guide, which explains how to engage with the week, is also available.

The resources are available in English, Spanish, and without text for non-English speaking countries, and are for use by GBCs, their members and partners, and WorldGBC Partners.
