Miura America Company, a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of energy-efficient, eco–friendly industrial steam boilers, today announced it has secured a $21 million investment to help improve operations and meeting increasing demand. The company will close on a partial investment of $1 million this year, and will close on the remaining $20 million over the next five years. The investment comes from its parent company, which is based in Matsuyama, Japan.
“With renewed market confidence following the election, we are seeing a wide range of projects, new and old, coming back online,” explained Doug MacMaster, vice president of U.S. operations, Miura. “We already are the largest boiler manufacturer in the world, but in order to be number one in the world, we have to be number one in the United States.”
Celebrating its 30th anniversary in the U.S., Miura recently completed a state-of-the-art showroom and water lab at its base of U.S. operations in Rockmart, Georgia. The showroom helps the company to keep up with exponential growth. The next phase of this expansion will include improvements and additions to its manufacturing facilities, as well as a heightened focus on recruitment, to build the best rep network in the U.S.
“With their local knowledge and expertise, our reps are absolutely the key to our success, and our goal is to increase our network by 100% over the next 3 years,” said MacMaster.
To meet this goal, Miura is offering a host of incentives to recruit and drive business to its reps, including marketing co-op programs, rewards trips, dedicated protected territories, special pricing and discounts, and financing options.
“We provide a product with a unique technology that offers tremendous sales opportunities because our design is the most efficient, the most reliable and the safest in the industry,” added MacMaster. “We’ve taken on-demand industrial steam systems to a new level. With the launch of the new LX300 last April, we’ve solidified our role as a leader in steam boiler efficiency, lower emissions, and reduced energy costs. Our reps are able to truly set themselves apart because our technology is a perfect fit for heavy industrial applications.”
Miura boilers are known for their reduced environmental footprint of low NOx and CO2 emissions, as well as their exclusive ‘once-through’ vertical water-tube design that produces steam in less than five minutes from a cold start, using less fuel and water than traditional boiler units. Additionally, Miura boilers feature a modular, zero-side-clearance design that allows the flexibility to customize a steam plant due to its smaller physical footprint.
About Miura America Company:
Originally developed in Japan, Miura boilers were designed to address the far higher energy costs, space restrictions, and pollution-control standards in that country. Miura boilers save, on average, as much as 20 percent annually on fuel costs over other boiler designs. Miura’s compact design and advanced microprocessor controls maximize efficiency and minimize emissions, factors that have made Miura boilers a leading choice among industrial, large commercial, and institutional steam users. Miura’s built-in energy recovery and water-treatment systems also achieve efficiencies as high as 87 percent. Miura boilers – Made in the U.S.A. – are manufactured at the new, state-of-the-art factory in Rockmart, Georgia.
