CHILLVENTA 2016 PREVIEW: Daikin will be highlighting its new small commercial Sky Air air conditioners operating for the first time on R32.
Part of the Japanese manufacturer’s Bluevolution range, the Sky Air R32 (above) is the first European production-ready product range to use the new lower GWP refrigerant in units suitable for shops, smaller offices or for cooling equipment rooms.
The new models join Daikin’s Ururu, Emura and Professional split units, a new channel terminal device, new multi-split outdoor units and the new Siesta series, all introduced as R32 models in the last two years.
Daikin-ZeasMini Zeas
The stand will also feature the two different models of the new inverter-driven mini Zeas commercial refrigeration condensing units.
In addition to its claims to offer a footprint up to 60% smaller than equivalent products, the Zeas boasts high efficiency and low noise.
VRV-i
The “invisible” VRV-i, a heat pump air conditioner for indoor installation, will also be featured. It consists of two separate modules: the compressor and the heat exchanger. Both are compact and designed for indoor installation. The heat exchanger unit can be installed directly in the facade, in false ceilings or other cavities. The easy installation and the required, shorter pipelines are said to reduce installation costs.
A feature of the VRV-i is a new patented V-shaped heat exchanger. At a VRV-i system up to 10 VRV indoor units, air handling units and/or an air curtain can be connected.
Daikin-chillerChiller series
The recently introduced Daikin Applied EWWD-VZ water-cooled chiller will also be shown.
The new chiller offers compact dimensions and high ESEER values. This energy efficiency values are in the partial load operation at up to 8.3 and EER up to 5.7 at full load. All versions of EWWD-VZ Series operate with R134A and achieve two-compressor cooling capacity 1200-2100kW. Models with single compressors cover a cooling capacity of 450-1100 kW.
