ABOUT CLIMATE WORLD EXHIBITION
International specialized exhibition "Climate World" is the most anticipated and intriguing event of the domestic HVAC & R market. The exhibition is held every year in early March, and puts together all progressive-minded representatives of HVAC & R business. Interest to participate in the "World Climate" is increasingly growing. Today it's just a time to take decision on the participation of your company in the thirteenth (from the year of foundation: 2005) exhibition "Climate World" to be held in February 28 - March 3, 2017 at Expocentre. Specialized exhibitions are a versatile marketing tool based on the philosophy of the live human interaction. Therefore, despite the development of the Internet and online businesses, such events allow the participants to market effectively and sell products, to meet with the partners and competitors, to collect valuable information about the market and adjust its own marketing strategy, to study new equipment and even take part in law-making.
There are several exhibition projects in Russia, in some way related to the climate and refrigeration equipment. However, the most experts agree that the main exhibition event of the year in Russia is the exhibition "Climate World", organized by the exhibition company "Euroexpo" and the Association of Professionals in the Industry of Climate (APIC). The exhibition represents the whole spectrum of the HVAC & R market from manufacturers and suppliers of HVAC & R equipment to engineering and installation companies.
The exhibition "Climate World" is traditionally focused on several important issues. Among them are promotion of advanced equipment and technologies, advocacy of civilized forms and principles of fair competition, contribution to the sustainable development of Russian business. "Climate World" offers to the manufacturers the shortest way to the market, to the government agencies and business the ability to respond quickly to any challenges of the climate and refrigeration market, including the most complex ones.
Emotion-free statistics show each year the steadily-growing popularity of the event. Thus, in 2010 the exhibition "Climate World" had the exposition area of 15,800 m2, 240 leading climate and refrigeration companies from 23 countries were represented; 15,200 people visited the exhibition. In 2016, more than 250 leading companies from 23 countries took part in the exhibition, they were placed on 18,000 m2 of exhibition space, and was attended by over 23,900 visitors.

Expocentre Fairgrounds is a group of exhibition and engineering facilities meeting the cutting edge requirements of the industry. Currently it comprises nine pavilions and a system of multifunctional halls for congresses, seminars and business presentations. The total space of the venue is over 250,000 sqm; the total exhibition space is 150,000 sqm (90,000 sqm is indoor space; 60,000 sqm is outdoor space).
Expocentre Fairgrounds is a unique exhibition facility which has no equivalents in Russia. The venue is in many ways more advantageous for exhibition and convention organizers, exhibitors and visitors comparing to other exhibition centres in Moscow City and the Moscow region, specifically:
- Convenient location in the centre of Moscow in close vicinity to the House of the Russian Federation Government, to the majority of ministries and agencies, the Moscow City Government, the World Trade Centre;
- Proximity to the main city highways: Kutuzovskiy Prospect, Zvenigorodskoye Shosse, the Third Transport Ring;
- Vystavochnaya metro station (renamed Vystavochnaya in June 2009) adjacent to the venue; and Ulitsa 1905 Goda, Kiyevskaya and Kutuzovskaya (across Bagration Bridge) metro stations located close to the venue;
- A large number of hotels near the venue: Crown Plaza in the World Trade Centre, Mir, Golden Ring, Radisson-Slavyanskaya, a modernized hotel in Bolshaya Filyovskaya Street.
Expocentre Fairgrounds is situated near the operating part of the Moscow City Business Centre; a new house of the Moscow City Government is being built next to the venue. Despite high rental prices, this district of Moscow is very popular as it is very effective and prestigious to run business in the centre of Moscow.
2006-2007 saw a reconstruction of 28,000 sqm of the venue space, 15,000 sqm of which is exhibition space proper; the rest of it is office, production and warehousing space. All pavilions at Expocentre Fairgrounds have been modernized and now they meet the most demanding requirements of the exhibition and convention industry. All the pavilions are equipped with cargo gates for heavy duty vehicles and suited for using modern equipment and machines for lifting bulky cargo.
Over the recent years the venue facilities have been upgraded and now they allow connection of sophisticated equipment, which makes it possible to demonstrate all exhibits in action as in a real working environment.
In 2007 Pavilion No. 8 was put into use. Its total space is 21,000 sqm, out of which 12,000 sqm is an exhibition space. The pavilion accommodates a conference hall with a seating capacity of 300 and meeting rooms. This pavilion is the most technologically advanced in Russia. The halls of the pavilion meet the highest acoustic standards therefore they are fit even for symphonic concerts. With a system of galleries the pavilion has been integrated into a complex of pavilions Nos. 2, 3, 7 and the Forum. They all create a single space housing exhibition, convention, recreation areas and connecting passages on the ground level of the pavilions. New cloakrooms and cafes have been added. These improvements have made the venue significantly more comfortable for the staff, exhibitors and visitors.
Expocentre Fairgrounds is steadily developing to extend its potential. Within next three or four years the exhibition space of the venue will increase from 150,000 sqm to 160,000 sqm.
The construction of a new 15-storey multifunctional building will be finished in 2010. The four lower storeys of the new facility will include a public area, services, and the East Entrance to Expocentre Fairgrounds. The rest of the building will accommodate offices, and the top level will house a restaurant and an outdoor observation deck.
It is also planned to erect a unique exhibition and convention centre designed by Pritzker Prize Laureate Zaha Hadid. The new centre will comprise 20,000 sqm exhibition space, a congress hall seating 1,500 people and a high-rise deluxe hotel.
Construction of one more multifunctional office building is also in plans.
All construction and reconstruction works at Expocentre Fairgrounds are carried out the way that excludes any inconvenience to exhibition organizers, exhibitors and visitors.
Expocentre’s development plans enjoy active support of the Russian Federal Government and the Moscow City Government. The Moscow City Business Centre, Expocentre Fairgrounds and the World Trade Centre form a certain business triangle: a unique concentration of business life in the centre of the Russian capital.
