Carrier Transicold has announced a new electrification module in the Lynx Fleet digital platform for electric transport refrigeration unit (eTRU) eCool customers in Europe. This feature is designed to help fleet owners manage the transition to electric refrigeration technology and achieve their sustainability goals.
Carrier Transicold has been pioneering electrification for more than 20 years and is proud to offer an electric solution for 100% of its vehicle ranges. Customers who own or lease Carrier Transicold electric units can benefit from the new Lynx Fleet electrification module, helping them in the transition from a diesel fleet to a mixed diesel-electric fleet, and ultimately to a fully electric fleet.
“We are focused on providing customers with insights to create a more intelligent cold chain that in turn can help improve their operations and achieve their sustainability goals,” said Alice DeBiasio, Vice President & General Manager, Carrier Refrigeration Digital Solutions. “Our Lynx Fleet electrification module offers electric TRU customers visibility into fleet operations and performance to help resolve challenges and build a better tomorrow.”
Designed with fleet owners in mind, the sustainability and electrification insights available in the electrification module will help owners stay competitive by reducing the total cost of ownership and getting the most from their assets – all while keeping tight schedules, protecting cargo and reducing environmental impact.
Key outcomes of the updated Lynx Fleet platform include:
- Insight into battery state of charge and other telematics.
- Reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from run hours.
- Compliance with the latest cold chain regulations: EN12830 (2018).
- Support of environmental goals and identification of improvement areas.
These expanded capabilities will help address obstacles in electrification adoption, range anxiety as well as compliance and performance concerns.
